ЭВОЛЮЦИЯ ОБРАЗА ГЛАВНОГО ГЕРОЯ В ТРИЛОГИИ Э.Н. УСПЕНСКОГО О ЖАБ ЖАБЫЧЕ СКОВОРОДКИНЕ

Аннотация. В статье рассматривается эволюция образа Жаб Жабыча Сковородкина в сказочной трилогии Э.Н. Успенского. Данный цикл впервые становится самостоятельным объектом научного рассмотрения. С целью раскрытия замысла автора особое внимание уделяется рассмотрению идейно-художественных параллелей, возникающих между первой повестью цикла и рассказом А.И. Куприна «Белый пудель». Поведение детей, их способ восприятия мира, показанные Успенским, соответствуют тому типу героя детской литературы, который возникает в произведении Куприна и впоследствии становится наиболее характерным для советской и российской литературы, предназначенной для детского чтения. Успенский наглядно демонстрирует несоответствие детского понимания мира реальной картине происходящего. Жаб Жабыч Сковородкин, вопреки представлениям Владика и его друзей, не является беззащитным животным, которое необходимо постоянно беречь и спасать. В его образе сатирически продемонстрированы взрослые черты мышления: стремление вести себя как все, желание комфортной жизни, способность обманывать ради победы на выборах. Оппозиция «дети-взрослые» является определяющей в художественном мире трилогии, а главный герой является воплощением типичного жителя уездного города N, в котором происходит действие повестей: данный топоним с XIX века в русской литературе символизирует отсталость, отсутствие развития и перспектив на лучшую жизнь.

EVOLUTION OF THE IMAGE OF THE MAIN CHARACTER IN E.N. USPENSKY’S TRILOGY ABOUT ZHAB ZHABYCH SKOVORODKIN

Abstract. The article considers the evolution of the image of Zhab Zhabych Skovorodkin in the fairy tale trilogy by E.N. Uspensky. This cycle for the first time becomes an independent object of scientific consideration. In order to reveal the author’s intention, special attention is paid to the consideration of the ideological and artistic parallels that arise between the first story of the cycle and the story of A.I. Kuprin «White Poodle». The behavior of children, their way of perceiving the world, shown by Uspensky, corresponds to the type of hero of children’s literature that appears in Kuprin’s work and subsequently becomes the most characteristic of Soviet and Russian literature intended for children’s reading. However, Uspensky clearly demonstrates the discrepancy between the children’s understanding of the world and the real picture of what is happening. Zhab Zhabich Skovorodkin, contrary to the ideas of Vladik and his friends, is not a defenseless animal that needs to be constantly protected and saved. In his image, adult features of thinking are satirically demonstrated: the desire to behave like everyone else, the desire for a comfortable life, the ability to deceive for the sake of winning elections. The opposition «children-adults» is defining in the artistic world of the trilogy, and the main character is the embodiment of a typical resident of the county town N, in which the action of the stories takes place: since the 19th century, this toponym in Russian literature symbolizes backwardness, lack of development and prospects for a better life.
