Аннотация. Статья посвящена проблеме педагогического тестирования в высшей школе. Быстрая и качественная оценка знаний студентов является актуальной задачей образовательного процесса. Для любой системы образования важнейшими остаются объективный контроль качества знаний и на этой основе построение результативных алгоритмов обучения. Одним из современных видов такого контроля выступает тестирование.
На основе анализа научных исследований по данной теме предлагается систематизация проблемных вопросов, касающихся использования тестов, по трем направлениям: технология педагогического тестирования, форма и содержание тестового материала, мотивация участников (педагогов и студентов) этого процесса.
В ходе рассмотрения указанных проблемных полей были выявлены некоторые наиболее значимые сложности и противоречия, снижающие эффективность использования теста как многофункционального педагогического инструмента. Эффективность метода тестирования связывается с важностью совершенствования технологии разработки тестовых заданий, согласования их содержания и формы, а также формирования определенной мотивационной составляющей участников этого процесса.
В заключение статьи дается обобщенная характеристика метода тестирования с учетом его положительных сторон и недостатков, а также возможности и перспективы его использования в образовательном процессе в высших учебных заведениях.

PEDAGOGICAL TESTING IN HIGHER EDUCATION: PROBLEMS AND PROSPECTS

Abstract. The article is devoted to the problem of pedagogical testing in higher education. Fast and qualitative assessment of students’ knowledge is an urgent task of the educational process. The objective control of the quality of knowledge and, on this basis, the construction of effective learning algorithms are the most important things for any educational system. One of the modern types of such control is testing.
Based on the analysis of the scientific research on this topic, it is proposed to systematize problematic issues related to the use of tests in three directions: the technology of pedagogical testing, the form and content of the test material, the motivation of participants (teachers and students) of this process.
During the consideration of these problematic fields, some of the most significant difficulties and contradictions that reduce the effectiveness of using the test as a multifunctional pedagogical tool were identified. The effectiveness of the testing method is associated with the importance of improving the technology of developing test tasks, coordinating their content and form, as well as forming a certain motivational component of the participants of this process.
In conclusion, a generalized description of the testing method, taking into account its advantages and disadvantages, and also the possibilities and prospects of its use in the educational process in higher educational institutions are given.
