Аннотация. Статья посвящена рассмотрению суицидального сюжета в повести И.А. Бунина «Митина любовь» в контексте исторических реалий Серебряного века. Уже ученые-современники называли всплеск суицидов и суицидальных попыток, охвативший в первую очередь представителей интеллигенции рубежа веков, «эпидемией самоубийств», и главный герой бунинской повести тоже становится жертвой этой эпидемии. Неспроста друг называет его «Вертером из Тамбова», а студент в доме напротив поет «Азру» – популярный романс, заканчивающийся словами «Полюбив, мы умираем». Актуальность работы обусловлена впервые применяемым к анализу самоубийства главного героя междисциплинарным подходом. Для понимания сюжета самоубийства Мити мы опираемся на работы в области суицидологии и приходим к выводу, что Митя совершает «подражательный», «диалогический» суицид, для того чтобы избавиться от острой душевной боли – «психалгии». Финал повести, безусловно, трагичен, как и вообще любой суицидальный сюжет в русской классике. Для понимания авторского замысла важную роль играют также «детские» имена героев: Митя и Катя – ни разу в произведении герои не названы полными именами. Митя и Катя – дети со сломанными эпохой судьбами. Ключевые слова: Бунин; «Митина любовь»; междисциплинарный подход; суицид.

SUICIDE IN THE STORY BY I. A. BUNIN «MITYA'S LOVE» AND THE HISTORICAL REALITY OF THE SILVER AGE: AN INTERDISCIPLINARY APPROACH TO THE PROBLEM T.S. Karpacheva Moscow City University Abstract. The article is devoted to the consideration of the suicidal plot in the story by I.A. Bunin «Mitya's Love» in the context of the historical realities of the Silver Age. Contemporary scientists have already called the surge of suicides and suicidal attempts, which first of all engulfed representatives of the intelligentsia of the turn of the century, an «epidemic of suicides», and the main character of Bunin's story also becomes a victim of this epidemic. It is not for nothing that his friend calls him «Werther from Tambov» and a student in the house opposite sings a popular romance «Azr», ending with the words «Having fallen in love, we die». The relevance of the work is due to the interdisciplinary approach applied for the first time to the analysis of the suicide of the protagonist. To understand the plot of Mitya's suicide, we rely on works in the field of suicidology and come to the conclusion that Mitya commits an «imitative», «dialogical» suicide in order to get rid of acute mental pain – «psychalgia». The finale of the story is certainly tragic, like any suicidal plot in the Russian classics. To understand the author's idea, the «children's» names of the characters also play an important role: Mitya and Katya – the characters are never called by full names in the work.
